A friend from high school, had a litter of Corgi's about seven weeks ago! They are nicknamed the Super Seven! The above picture is not them!
I have enjoyed watching the videos she has taken along with all the pictures!
What an awesome experience just for a fact finding mission! Justin, the store manager, was very nice and spent a lot of time with me explaining all the wonderful benefits of the DualTemp(TP) layer. Justin knew I was there on a Smiley360 Mission and did not rush me along at all.
Justin explained to me that the Dual-sided layer has two remotes so each of you can set your ideal temperature.
You can choose from cool to warm at the touch of a button. Justin explained to me that if you want to heat your bed up, you turn the layer on while you are getting ready for bed (make sure the comforter is pulled up so the warmies stay in).
The DualTemp(TM)Layer evenly distributes temperature for head-to-toe comfort. This is when Justin tucked me and it was awesome! I layed on the cool side but I could stretch my arm out and feel the side with the heat on. It reminded me of our old waterbed but much comfier.
The DualTemp(TM) has a breathable comfort layer softly cushions every curve. It was very comfortable to lay on and I could have had no trouble falling asleep right in the store!
There is a tiimer allows for automatic shutoff in one to nine hours.
The sizes available are Twin XL, Queen, and King. Justin even mentioned that some people that have King Size beds will get the Twin XL, if only one person is interested in the the DualTemp(TM) - what a great idea!
Three-year limited warranty offers peace of mind.
Right now Sleep Number is offering a 100 night sleep guarantee. If you don't like if you can return it after 100 nights. You don't even have to take it back to the store. They will send you a postage paid envelope to return it to Sleep Number.
Also, there is a 2 year free interest for the DualTemp(TM).

Was driving home and one of the people, the next street over, was riding a lawn tractor (mind you 90% of our yards are smaller than .25 acres. He was running over his ton of leaves and shooting them out into the street! I stopped hoping that he would let me drive by because my luck I would get the stone that would bing/ding the Rogue. Nope he kept on going. Are you that lazy that you can't do something else with them? I know in some states, some towns want you to put them in the street and they will come by and suck them up - not JOPPATOWNE! All I can say, is I am glad I don't live next to him. Hate to see what he is going to do if we get any snow and he has to shovel his sidewalk.

My daughter is a senior and a member of the Harford Tech Varsity Cheer team and we have lots of spirit but we didn't have a professional banner for our team! Yes, we do have lots of posters (handmade with love) but a banner always stands out, especially when you move on to regional and state competitions. Our team is a former State Champion from for the Winter 2012 season! Our team also made it all the way to the State level for the Winter 2013 season.
This past season, that ended on November 9, 2013, we competed at the regional level. Proudly displayed was our new banner from BuildaSign.com. The banner was a surprise to the team, so when I was let into the competition our coach's husband had already placed our posters up, but luckily their was room to display it but not as high as I wanted it to be displayed! That's ok, when the coach and the team saw it they were so shocked!!! The winter season starts this week, so when we go to our first competition in January our banner will be placed high with PRIDE!
Use of the BuildASign.com website was very easy to understand and to navigate. I registered and in less than 15 minutes I had designed my banner. BuildASign.com has clipart that you can use for your printing project or you can upload your own. Just remember that your image must meet certain requirements (or they will be happy to help you to create a logo or assist you with your existing logo):
- Must be less than 20MB in size- Must be an EPS, JPG, TIF, BMP, GIF, PNG, PDF file type
My banner arrived in about 10 days, which was great because we were on a huge time constraint. I was SO excited, that I wouldn't even show my daughter because I wanted her to be just as excited as all the other girls, when she first saw it hanging up on the wall!
The banner came packaged in a sturdy box which is awesome for carrying it to and from competitions and then can be used for storage during the off-season. The banner is made from heavy weight vinyl with grommets in each corner. I just grabbed some of those removable hanging clips to hang the banner! The banner is so beautiful. The fonts and size of the lettering is exactly the way I wanted it. What you see on your computer screen is exactly what you will get!
BuildASign.com does have several different banner hangers that the banner can be hung inside or outside.
This banner will last the team a LONG time!! I am just sad that at the end of the winter cheer season, we will be handing it off to the younger cheerleaders because our time will be over as a high school cheer family.
Not only does BuildASign.com have banners, they also have signs, car magnets, bumper stickers, decals, business cards, flyers, and retractable banners. If you are a new business, club, or team -- BuildASign.com is a one stop website to get everything you need to get your NAME out to the public!
Before I placed my order, I did browse their customer reviews and knew I was in good hands.
This post was written by me (Kim Holsapple aka Frugal MD Mom Corgi Mom). Thank you to BuildASign.com who provided the complimentary product for my review. The opinions I shared are my own, and BuildASign did not tell me what to say or how to say it.
OxiClean Max Force Gel Stick works great on dry blood! We wound up with some blood on our love seat cushion, so as soon as I noticed off came the cushion cover and I treated it with the OxiClean Max Force Gel Stick and threw them in the washing machine.
Once they were done in the washing machine, they looked as good as new!
I LOVE this product and every week, I pick one up because I don't want to be without it EVER!!!!!

I'm not much of a scrapbooker, so I have stored all the girl's important papers in a filing cabinet.
Today I had to had a brainstorm I got storage containers that fut under the bed and I started a box for each of them.
I love this idea because now whenever I get important papers or memories I can just put them in the box and its so much easier than in the filing cabinet.
Whenever they are ready to leave home all I have to do is give them this box of memories. I think this is really important because my mom was never a saver of anything and there's some things I wish I could've shared with my girls.
The boxes I got our plastic that seal really well because about 6 years ago we had a major water disaster and I lost all my pictures from when they were little. Thank goodness for Grandma she had lots of pictures from when they were little so I was able to get those when she passed away.

Hot spoons will stop the itch of a mosquito bite.
I just read this on Life Hacks and so want to try this.
Here in Maryland the mosquitos are so bad. They are out all day long. I remember when April was little and would play in her sandbox she would be covered in bites.

We had both wanted to see it, so we were really excited! As Denisa, stated before the movie: "This is not about a comic book, this is not a sequel and it is not a kiddie movie"!!! True, true, true!
Here is one of the trailers, in case you haven't seen it.
This movie kept you on your seat the entire time. I really don't want to say too much because I do not want to spoil it for anyone.
A couple of quotes from the movie:
"First Rule of Magic, Always Be the Smartest Guy in the Room"
"The Closer you Think you Are - - The Less you Will Actual See"
Yes, we really don't get a good grip on the characters and where they come from, but for this type of movie you don't need it!!!
Kristina was surprised about the mention of Egypt Mythology. Kristina is a huge House of Anubis fan so she got pretty excited when their was mention of how some magic drinks are associated with Mythology.
As soon as the lights came on, Kristina asked if we could buy this when it comes out to DVD!! LOL
Thanks to a dad, at school who offered to look at it for me! Or I would still be waiting for the local computer company to call me back. Yes, I called a company that Bob and I have used in the past and I am still waiting for a call back!! Will be crossing Anything Computers, White Marsh, Maryland off my list of people to call if I have a computer problem in the future. It's funny, I just went out to their website and the first thing that pops up "Is Don't Panic"! Hello, I was in panic mode two weeks ago and no return phone call or email! LOL
So Bob told me to go a head and buy a new laptop, since I won him won back last summer! I got it Thursday and feel so connected again! The smartphone can only do so much!!!!
I do have to say the most hardest thing about buying a laptop was trying to get Windows 7 on it. I didn't want Windows 8, because I have heard mixed reviews (some seniors with no computer experienced loved it, other younger people hated it). You can't go into a store and try and buy one off the shelf with 7 on it. I was able to find that Toshiba had the best deal on building a laptop with 7. The only downside was that it took 10 days to get it once it shipped, since it was coming from China via Alaska. Dell had Windows 7 but they were actually more money than Windows 8.
But now I am a happy camper and hopefully this one will last a while, since my old laptop lasted about 30 months because it had an AMD processor. My new one has an Intel!
My friend was able to get the hard drive out of my old laptop so I didn't loose anything! Woo Hoo!!! Now just to get on a strict schedule of backing up my pics etc!
I have lots of post coming up, on things that I have won and a review of the Rod Stewart CD!!! So bear with me, thank goodness it is a three day weekend.
I will also be sharing with you how I am going to earn all my gift cards this summer (for back to school and Christmas shopping) thanks to two different internet/smart phone apps that I have been blowing up!! Tease, tease!!!
Yes, I mentioned Christmas shopping. Last Wednesday I was in my favorite K class and a little boy asked me if I wanted to see his Christmas list! Gotta love Noah!!! I thought he was kidding, but he whipped it out! I know his mom from way back and I asked her about it and yes, it is his actually Christmas list for this year. He carries it with him everywhere! Oh to be 5 again!!!!

We were looking at mini-vans because of hauling extra teens around to competitions, etc. But the light went off, all of April's friends either have their licenses or will be getting them this year, so we don't need to haul kids around. Why pay for a big vehicle that won't get its full potential. So then, we started looking at the little SUV's and other cars.
Bob found a 2004, yes a 2004 Toyota Avalon for $15,000 at Carmax that he had transferred to the store near us. We went and looked at it, and can you say your grandparent's car. I might be 51 but I certainly don't act like it and I wasn't going to be driving it. It had only 24,000 miles on it, good for it. I told Bob clearly that if he wanted that I would drive my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. I made it clearly known AGAIN that I would not drive this vehicle. Plus once we left the dealership and I did the research the car's retail value was only at $9,000 - $10,000! Bob saw the light.
We went back to Carmax and started looking at the Nisssan Rogue!! We found one on the lot that hadn't even been shown on the computer and it was a heck of a deal. It's Black Amethyst, looks Black in some lighting and purple in other lighting. Can we say Baltimore Ravens!!! Woo Hoo!
The Nissan Rogue does come with three months of Sirius Radio, which I am already spoiled but will not continue with it because I am a sports radio kinda of gal! Shout out to Sports Radio 105.7 the Fan in Baltimore.
I started writing this review earlier in the day, had to stop to take April to work. She was running late, as usual, because she wanted to tan before she went in to work. I had 20 minutes to get her about 12 miles in rush hour traffic. Well. I hopped on I-95 and it was a dream! I love that I sit up higher in the Rogue. I feel that people can see me, also. Got her there with five minutes to spare, with no speeding! The drive was nice and smooth. The Rogue handles so nice!!!
So far, I am so pleased with our choice! Thanks Nissan! Thanks to Carmax for a truly wonderful buying experience!
I give the 2013 Nissan Rogue 5 Corgi Paw Prints!!!
Thanks to I Think My Moms Gone Crazy for post this!!

Kristina and I went to see 42 yesterday. I knew I wanted to see it but was going to wait until it came out on Redbox; but Kristina's social studies teacher offered an extra credit project if her students went to see it.
So we made it a Mom and me date last nite! The only person I knew that was going to be in the film was Harrison Ford.
A little bit of background on me: I am 51 years old. So when Mr. Robinson came up through the minor and major leagues, I was not even born. I remember hearing my dad talk about Mr. Robinson. Jackie Robinson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962, the year I was born. I got my love of sports by watching football and baseball games with my dad on TV. My brother played football for about 10 years, so my first love is football. He did try baseball for one year but it wasn't his thing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Mr. Robinson was a truly remarkable man in the way he handled himself on the field and off! Chadwick Boseman did an amazing job as Mr. Robinson and Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey was awesome. I hope both of these men earn an Academy Award nominations for their portrayals. Harrison Ford, during a couple of scenes, reminded me of Burgess Meredith aka The Penguin from the old Batman series. Just the way he spoke, I was thinking this while we were watching the movie and then I was reading some other reviews and I realized I wasn't the only one who noticed. I guess I am just dating myself. LOL
I thought the acting was well done throughout the film. Not only was this about Jackie Robinson being the first African American in the Major Leagues but it was also about how Mr. Wendell Smith was breaking the color barrier for sports reporters.
This was the second movie that Kristina has experienced with the racial issues of our past. It angered her, as well as me, with the way he was taunted. There is one scene when the audience was taunting Jackie; and a little boy in the stands started mimicking the adults, very sad. I thought it was a nice touch for our younger audiences to see and then reflect that adults are not always the best role models.
So thank you Ms. Robertson, for making this an extra credit project for the 6th grade.
I give this 5 Corgi Paws out of 5!!!
I was not compensated or asked to review this movie, in any way!!!
